KOTA BARU: Habib Hotel which has been operating here for the past five years, has been

re-branded as Jewels Hotel, from today onwards.

Habib Group’s managing director Datuk Sri Meer Sadik Habib said the re-branding exercise will see the 3- star hotel embrace the concept of gems and jewellery as part of its attraction.

"This can be seen in the unique hotel decorations and the naming of its rooms and floors” he said.

He adds that the strategic location makes the hotel a great choice for business or holiday with family.

"With this, we are confident to attract both locals and outside visitors," he said.

Meer Sadik said the hotel recently underwent renovation and now offers 42 rooms for guests.

"The hotel is surrounded by popular tourist attractions and shopping areas such as the famous Siti Khadijah market and Tok Guru Bazaar," he said at the hotel renaming ceremony, here today.

Kelantan culture, tourism and heritage committee chairman Datuk Md Anizam Abd Rahman renamed the hotel name.

He hoped the new name would help attract more visitors to the hotel.

"On behalf of the state government, I would like to praise Habib management especially its managing director for re-branding of the hotel.

"I am confident that with its strategic location in the town area and having good foods served to the customers, Jewels Hotel will continue to attract more locals as well as tourists to the place," he said.
