Chef Rosmandi Ismail

Bringing over 30 years of culinary expertise to the heart of Jewels Hotel, Chef Rosmandi is a distinguished figure in Malaysia’s culinary scene. A proud homegrown talent, he began his professional journey in the early 1990s as a cook and steadily climbed the ranks through dedication and passion. Over the decades, he honed his skills in various renowned hotels and beach resorts across the state, culminating in his appointment as Head Chef of Jewels Hotel in 2011.

Chef Rosmandi’s culinary repertoire is rich and diverse, with specialty dishes such as Chicken Chop, Mamak Fried Noodles, and his signature Oxtail Asam Pedas earning acclaim from both locals and distinguished guests alike. His excellence in the kitchen has opened doors to prestigious opportunities — including the honor of serving the Royal Brunei Family and working alongside celebrity master chefs such as Chef Wan and Chef Sabri Hassan.

Among the many notable individuals, he has served are Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, the late Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, Tuan Guru Dato' Bentara Setia Haji Nik Abdul Aziz bin Nik Mat, and members of the Royal Kelantan Family.

As Head Chef, Chef Rosmandi emphasizes not only the exceptional taste and presentation of each dish but also the importance of teamwork and service excellence within his kitchen. Known for his sincerity and unwavering dedication, he is highly respected by his team and cherished by the hotel’s patrons — a true testament to his enduring passion for culinary perfection.
